SFU Childcare Society is a place where: Children are valued for their ability to engage in meaningful work, for their wonder and curiosity, for their unique perspectives, and for their capacity to play and learn. Families are valued for their bonds and traditions, for their commitment to work, home and community, and for their dreams for themselves and for their children. Educators are valued for their vision, for their delight in children, for their skill and knowledge, and for their commitment to families and lifelong advocacy and learning. Our core values of joy, relationships, freedom, exploration and experience, communication, responsibility, accountability and integrity, and respect guide our learning community.
Excitement building for our Childcare Action event
On May 14th, over 200 children, 50 educators and many parents gathered on SFU AQ to celebrate the National Week of Action for Childcare. Activities, music and information on the $10 a day plan are involved!
We have set up posters in our programs asking parents to tell us what quality childcare means to them. These will be displayed in the walkway next week for all families to see. We also have Canadian childcare facts written with sidewalk chalk. Have a look, you can’t miss them!
We are currently accept waitinglist application for 3 to 5 age group. Applicants may potentially be offered a space as early as September, 2015
